About Us
Our Intention
Allpa Mama (Mother Earth) Healing in Ecuador
We offer small, safe, loving retreats for healing, cleansing and connection with ourselves, our mother earth and the universe. We utilize several sacred plant medicines and working with traditional healers from the Andes and jungle of Ecuador. We incorporate various healing modalities to create a holistic healing experience, and try to connect guests with the local culture and people.
We are not a large commercial center - we have a maximum of 6 guests in our retreats, and often work 1:1 with people too. We get to know each other very personally, and the goal of our retreats is to come together like family, everyone teaching, learning, helping and empowering each other. We host our retreats with humility and integrity, with a wish to help all of us humans rise up and bring love and positivity to our families and communities back home.
Our retreats are very safe, as they are very small, and are led by a male and female guide in the ceremonies. We make our Aya with a combination of the vine- Banisteriopsis caapi, and Chakruna leaves - nothing else is added; again, very safe.
Our goal is to help support and give back to Mother Earth. A percent of the profits goes towards the reforestation of sacred plants in southern Ecuador.
We also raise money to help abandoned street dogs, helping pay their vet bills, giving them food and finding permanent homes.
We look foward to welcoming you into our family!
Safety
Concerns about Ecuador Safety
Ecuador has always been a beautiful, peaceful and safe country. The violence between drug gangs and police you heard about in the media (around March 2024) was mainly focused on the coastal borders with Colombia and Peru, and the city of Guayaquil.
Ecuador’s new president has empowered the military to assist the police in securing the countries ports, prisons and borders. This has greatly decreased the amount of violent crime in the country.
In south/central Ecuador where we are located, we are far removed from violent crime. Quito and Cuenca have safe, modern airports.
I, Katie, have traveled throughout Ecuador for many years now as a solo female traveler, riding the public transport, and have never had issues with anyone. I have always been met with kind people willing to give me a hand as needed.
